What a great bunch of photos taken for the ballon fest. I wish I could have made it up there ,but I had some family issues that kept me away. Hopefully I can make the Great Salt Lake one
if there still doing it or theres always next year.
Great job everyone.

You got some nice ones with the 1.4 and the 300. How do you feel it worked on your D90?

Im going to work on getting the 1.4 by summer hopefully and get the 1.7(I hear alot of folks rave about this one) by the end of the year. I need to get some triggers and flash before I endulge on more glass....

I got to say you got some AWESOME shots this year. Next year how about we go in halves on renting a 600/4 and 500/4 and live out at the bay for 2 weeks???

Im pretty serious about this... I will be transitioning from active army to DA civilian probally and will be on terminal leave. Ill at least own a 1.4 and 1.7 by then and should have tax money to split on at least a 500/4 and see if a buddy of mine will rent me his 200-400. IM going to be blazing next year....

Wow, pricey ideed. At that rate I know I would want to camp out with it to get my moneys worth. With your situtation we will have to see how things turn out(hope it all goes well for you, cant imagine a shock like that) and go from there. Got all year to see if there is a cheaper alternative... God Bless

Mark, your eagle photos could be in any wildlife publication without a doubt. Fantastic! Not one but all! Good glass sure can make a difference.
