I'd like to invite anyone interested to an exhibit of my photos at the Universe City Art Gallery in Ogden. It is free and open to the public today (15 Jan 2011) from 1:00-5:00. It will also be open next weekend from 5:00-9:00 PM on Friday (21 Jan) and Saturday (22 Jan) from 1:00-5:00. It is the first time I've had any of my images in a formal exhibit. "WOW, that's cool, was that on Antelope? I suppose not, or you would not have been on a boat at Antelope, always a trade off for speed against noise, from a moving boat you also needed fast film for focus!"
Hello
I enjoy taking shots of almost anything that moves. Combine that with my pleasure in taking shots of anything that doesn't move and you may infer that nothing is beyond my interest if it will reflect light. That limitation may soon be resolved with the higher and higher ISO equivalents being offered in modern cameras.
In time you will probably notice that my primary interest seems to be wildlife. Three events during the year seem to re-occur fairly consistently.
(1) Yellowstone National Park during the last two weeks of September for Elk, Moose, Wolves, Bison, Bears etc.
(2) Bosque del Apache, New Mexico during the "Festival of the Cranes" in late November for Sandhill Cranes, "Light" Geese, etc.
(3) Farmington Bay, Utah during the winter for Harriers, Owls, Eagles etc.
This doesn't mean I'm idle the rest of the year, but usually do not follow as strict a schedule.
My primary camera today is a Canon 1DmkIII. I have a variety of lenses.
Canon 17-35 f2.8L
Canon 24-105 f4L IS
Canon 100 f4 Macro
Canon 70-200 f4L IS
Canon 400 f5.6L
Canon 500 f4L IS
Canon TC 1.4 and 2.0
Sigma 50-500 f6.3
