Lens

So I know last week I asked about camera bodies. This week I am wondering about Lenses. I am shooting a conference next Wednesday and Thursday and am renting some equiptment. What is a really good lens to shoot events?

For most events, I would make sure you have the 24-70 f/28 L(or similar fast lens) and the 70-200 f/2.8L(or similar fast lens)

If you are not shooting indoors and/or there is plenty of light i.e., outdoor, sports, etc. then you can get by with a slower lens but indoors / poor light you will really need the 2.8
